At Po Zu you can find men, women and children’s shoes, boots and trainers. Materials are carefully selected to offer the ultimate in comfort, warmth and durability and are sourced from some of the best available renewable sources including piñatex, coir, cork and natural latex. Vegan options available!
Allbirds
A certified B-Corp, Allbirds design and create momen and men’s runners, loungers and skippers from natural materials such as wool, tree and sugar.
Allbirds work with organizations such as ZQ Merino to ensure their wool is held to high standards of farming, land management and animal welfare.
Tree fibre, TENCEL™ Lyocell, is sourced from South African farms that minimize fertilizer and rely on rainfall, not irrigation. Forest Stewardship Council® certification guarantees that materials sourced meet strict standards to protect forests, and the animals and people who depend on them.
Sugarcane used to make SweetFoam™ is sourced from southern Brazil, where it relies on rainwater, not irrigation. This fully renewable resource grows quickly and removes carbon from the atmosphere! Sugarcane is sourced to rigorous standards developed by Proforest, that protect people and the environment.
The innovation doesn’t stop at just the shoe! Laces are made from recycled plastic bottles, castor bean oil is used in their insoles, and packaging is made from 90% recycled cardboard.
On top of all of this, Allbirds work with Soles4Souls® to find new life for lightly used Allbirds all around the world, helping communities in need thrive in the process.
Veja
Women, men and kids trainers made with organic cotton and biodegradable rubber. Unusual material is also utilised such as faux-leather made from curdled milk. There are also vegan options!
To box, warehouse and ship the shoes, Veja partners with Atelier Sans Frontières to employ people who have been incarcerated, helping them back into work.
Indosole
“Shoes with Soul”
A certified B-Corp, Indosole repurpose indestructible tires into the soles of some of the most durable footwear around.
Indosole intercept tyres before they end up in landfill or are burned which pollutes the environment. These tyres are then crafted into durable, flexible and supportive insoles. Shoe uppers are made from natural materials such as organic canvas banana leaves and grass.
